After the Junior Innv8ors pilot workshop, a STEM Club was started and is
held every Wednesday afternoon at the Philip Street Communities and
Families Precinct. The Junior Innov8ors STEM Club opened to 10 students
on Wednesday, 13 July and intends to see these students in the primary
sector build on digital literacy skills involving Tinkercad ® and
Scratch programming through this club.  Each software learning project
runs through for 5 weeks before a new program is taught allowing for
commitment flexibility and also for a new batch of students to come
through. Currently the club is a free offering and is facilitated by
Startup Gladstone. The hope is to have more primary students avail of
the club. With the current number of laptops, the predictions are that a
maximum number of 103 higher primary students at the end of 2023 will be
equipped with current and up-to-date STEM Tech skills.
