Startup Gladstone was at the Try a Trade Day held at the Gladstone CQU Marina Campus.
Startup Gladstone was at the Try a Trade Day held at the Gladstone CQU Marina Campus organised by The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, Gladstone Industry Leadership Group, Gladstone Engineering Alliance, CQUniversity and the Gladstone Manufacturing Hub.
A really great collaborative initiative for students in Grade 10 from various High Schools in the region. Many of the "young adults" visited the Startup stall and learned the difference between a Small Business and a Startup. They put their heads together and tested themselves on their knowledge of financial literacy (most came out tops) and went through the basic steps of starting a business. They learned about some popular Australian Women in business - Canva and Boost Juice being the biggest eye openers, feminism in marketing and how the simplest ideas can grow into great campaigns. This learning experience went both ways. Startup heard about business ventures, possible business ideas, the latest Tik Tok trends, popular online games and even picked up a few beauty tips.
